Back again a week later, but this time I wanted to visit Bluffers Beach. It was so steep! Going down to the beach the road was so steep I wasn't even pedalling and was able to actually keep up with the car in front of me. I even had to apply a little of my brakes to slow down. That speed was thrilling to go down but will be dreadful to bike or even walk back up.
Even though I can't swim, walking around the shallow end was refreshing and the view from the top of the bluffs is just amazing. I was able to look over the beach and you can see the forest of trees and Lake Ontario in the distance.
One thing I've learned from this experience was to bring food. It was down at the beach there didn't seem to be any food venues or anything to eat or drink. I had to climb back up that steep road back up to a supermarket to buy some snacks. Although fun, going back uphill was not worth that ride down.
This was my first time getting so close to Lake Ontario, I had to lock my bike and walk down a pretty steep trail that leads to this amazing view of the structure of these rocks and the vegetation growing here. It was very peaceful, nothing but the sounds of the lake could be heard out here.
