The trip didn't really go as smoothly as I'd like. The first problem I had was how much of an uphill this trip took. The sun was also out for almost the entire trip, making it incredibly hot and day to be biking.
My first break was at Lake Wilcox Park where although a beautiful lake I didn't have time to fully explore. Seemed like a nice place to take your boat or to go canoeing, with quite a lot of people walking around.
Sadly, the sidewalks began to disappear and I was forced to bike on the side of the roads, with cars going maybe 80km/h for about two blocks which are pretty long considering how spread apart the intersections are. My legs for the first time ever started cramping as I stopped biking, which really sucked when I took any short breaks or stops. I was relieved to finally make it onto a bunch of connected trails, starting in Aurora that lead straight to Newmarket, which made the ride somewhat more pleasant.
It was planned to have a meal at the restaurant Made in Mexico which was recommended by a Newmarket local, but I instead settled on pizza since it was a quicker cheaper option.
Time was running out and I was barely able to explore Newmarket, so I decided to take the YRT transit home since it seemed like I wasn't going to make it home in time, especially with my cramps.
I wish I had more time to explore, Newmarket was a large place and honestly didn't have too much to offer that was any different from the parks in Toronto. This is another cool accomplishment to tell.
